The different demographics for this chart including age sex as well as full or part time workers and we also include union and non union jobs. It is also a difference between permanent and temporary jobs. Over all the average increase from 2011 to 2012 has been an average of 2%. This increase is not shared evenly amongst all the groups represented. The 55 years and older only saw a 0.4% increase year over year. Additionally part time workers only saw a 0.3% increase year over year where as fulltime workers saw 2.2% increase year over year. Time workers represented 1/4 of the work force in Canada.
The majority of workers which is 25 to 54 years of age saw on average of 2 percent increase year over year this group represents almost 70% of of the total work force in Canada.
The other age group that did really well as opposed to the rest of the work force in Canada was the younger age group 15 to 24 years of age. They saw an increase of 2.9% year over year. The other interesting statistic is that more women are employed in Canada then men. And they saw an increase of 2.2% increasing on average from 21.30 per hour to 21.77 per hour.
